What We Do

To Begin

The essential elements of a second line parade are live music, a city permit to take over the streets, a skilled coordinator and an on-site supervisor.  An I Love Vieux parade starts with this foundation and fills in the details from devising the best route to determining the number of musicians.

Your Band

A second line parade is only as good as the band that plays it. After nine years and hundreds of parades, our standards of professionalism and musical quality are well-honed and impeccable.  You can count on having a reliable and talented group.

Jazz It Up

Lavish your parade with a delightful variety of festive touches (that also look great in photos!)

Handkerchiefs

For your guests to wave, hankies are a second line tradition and the most popular addition. Print something memorable with custom artwork or choose from our stock designs.

Mardi Gras Indians

The Mardi Gras Indian is a deep part of New Orleans’ African-American traditions.  In a parade, their elaborate hand-beaded costumes and dancing make for stunning visuals and stirred excitement.

Umbrellas

Custom umbrellas are a must for newlyweds (typically grooms carry black ones and brides carry white) and are a wonderful way for any guest of honor to stand out.

Performers

Costumed burlesque dancers, stilt walkers, jugglers, hula hoopers, alligators, fairies, even Darth Vader are possible!  We can procure just about anyone and anything to create your dream parade.

Grand Marshals

Grand Marshals wear a traditional colorful suit and lead the band. Their dance moves always charge up the marchers and they help keep the pace of the parade.

Mini Floats

An impressive and regal way to transport the newly hitched couple to their reception or the CEO to the next destination.

Our wedding was the happiest day of our lives. It was amazing with each and every touch thanks to Lacey Wood. She was there with me in New Orleans from the first fitting to the second line through the French Quarter to dinner and dancing at Galatoire’s. Lacey kept her cool so I could keep mine. She made our wedding magical!
